Gem Day! And please vote - we want to hear from you!

Gem Day has finally arrived and let me tell you, the array of gemstones is incredible!  From Kunzite, to Fire Opal, Baltic Amber, Pink Tourmaline, Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, Alexandrite, and beyond, it’s going to be an incredible journey through some of the greatest gemstone mines around the world.

Exceptional brilliance and sparkle, a rainbow of colors, and fine craftsmanship come together as our spectacular Gemstone Cuff TSV.  Only QVC can offer you Master Cut™ gemstone jewelry, precision cut and distinctly faceted gemstones based on superior cutting and polishing standards.  Brazilian gemstone cutters were trained in Idar Oberstein, the finest cutting center in the world, came to our special factory and taught the managers and cutters these techniques.  Cutting and polishing machines were designed for precision cutting and refined faceting to be used only in QVC’s Master Cut™ gemstone jewelry.

Even though the Sleeping Beauty Mine has been closed since 2012, barrels of rough turquoise are still being found hidden away in storage rooms and collections.  One of our gemstone suppliers found a large barrel of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise of the finest color at the Tucson Gem Show.  He purchased the entire barrel and offered all of it to us.  There was enough rough turquoise to do three hours of programming.  Two of my favorite turquoise pieces are the 14K gold Byzantine Ring (J294756) and the Ecclissi Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Sterling Watch (J296396).

Our Vault Discoveries™ are just as exceptional for this Gem Day.  These are hard-to-find gemstones limited in availability.  I recently traveled to three of the world’s most important gemstone cutters and searched their vaults for unusual, exotic, and extraordinary gemstones.  I found small parcels of cut and rough gemstones that haven’t been seen in many years.  The range is vast and incredible, and each stone has a remarkable story.

During my 16 years at QVC, I have dreamed of bringing a Bicolor Tourmaline to you.  Every Tucson Gem Show, I would search high and low for this extremely exotic stone.  I could find one or two but never more than that in the color and quality that I wanted.  The owner of the largest Brazilian gemstone company in the world opened his personal vault to me and, impossibly, he had a small number of gem quality Bicolor Tourmaline.  Please don’t miss this exceptional ring (J290296), we will never be able to do this again!

From this same personal vault, comes our first (and only) hot pink Tourmaline bracelet (J294763) and ring (J294748).  The intensity of the color and vibrancy of the gemstones make each piece exceptional and rare.

The largest red Fire Opal (J294963) I have ever seen comes from another gemstone collector in Thailand.  The intense red color and incredible size make this a real collector’s item.  He also collected over the course of many years a group of the largest oval Kunzite (J294914) that we have ever been able to offer.

We were also able to find a small collection of brilliant red Rubies from Thailand.  There will be an hour of this gorgeous product but every item is limited.  I am most excited we have been able to find rubies over 2 carats each, but please note, there is very limited availability; 8 pieces to be exact.  This extremely precious stone, (J295032) mined over 20 years ago from a mine that no longer exists will come in its own unique viewing box with a certificate.

I know I am going on a bit long, but have to mention two Affinity Diamond Vault Discoveries™.  One is our first and only Affinity diamond band ring (J296016) of VS quality and H color.  Surveyed by the Gemological Institute of America, each diamond is spectacular with a brilliant sparkle.  And last, but far from least is an Affinity Diamond Bracelet (J294716) set in 14K gold with diamond weights ranging from 4 1/2 carats to 5 1/3 carats depending on the length.  These treasures are finally coming to light after hiding in a major diamond dealer’s vault in New York City.

And a special shout out to our honored guest, Maurice Ostro, Chairman of Ostro Minerals.  This will be his first time on air in the USA and he recently has been appointed OBE in Her Majesty The Queen’s Birthday Honours List.  The Order of the British Empire recognizes distinguished service to the arts and sciences, public services outside the Service and work with charitable and welfare organizations of all kinds.

I know there are many more of your favorite gemstones you would like to see more of on QVC.  Please let me know what those are - I want to hear from you!

Take care,

Peyton

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions from our customers about Santa's Best Christmas Trees.

Do you have a question?  Please post it below, and check back throughout the day on Saturday, July 19th for the answer from our Santa's Best team of experts!

Q: Where do I find replacement bulbs?

A: Each tree comes with replacement bulbs. Should you misplace them or need more, please call Santa’s Best customer service. This is a specialty bulb, please do not use ordinary bulbs bought in the marketplace.

Q: Can I use this tree with a rotating stand?

A: It is not recommended.

Q: If I shut my tree off, do I need to cycle through the functions again when I turn it back on?

A: No, both the on/off foot pedal and seven function remote have memory, so your last function when you turn off your tree will be the first function that appears when you turn it back on. Please note the functions on the remote only go forward on the remote, and not backwards.

Q: If I bought two Santa’s Best Colorado Spruce trees with seven functions can I get them to be on different functions?

A: The only way to get the trees to be on different functions is to select the function for first tree, then unplug it. Then set the function for the second tree and then plug the first back in. The remote is universal and will change the function of both trees if they are within the remote distance listed below.

Q: Do I need to have the remote in clear sight?

A: The remote may work through a wall, but the signal could be affected.

Q: What distances can my remote work at?

A: 20' without the antenna extended; 40' with antenna extended.

Q: What is the length of the plug-in cord?

A: Cord is 60"L from on/off foot pedal to plug.

Q: Where is my remote-control battery?

A: Attached to the plug in-cord in clear protective wrap.

The Women with Control® Legging

No matter what, we can always count on leggings, right? They’re easy to throw on, and are always one of the most comfortable options in our wardrobes. However, it can be tricky styling them for any occasion that isn’t casual. They can sometimes make us appear under-dressed, and that’s due to both the quality of the leggings, and how we style them.

This is what inspired me when designing my Women with Control® Basic Pull-On Legging (available in three lengths, item # A27605). I knew that my Women with Control® fabric would be perfect for this classic item; its 54% cotton/32%poly/14% spandex blend is breathable, contouring, and isn’t see-through. For this reason, you won’t have to worry about revealing too much while wearing them.

By pairing leggings with the right items, you can make them appropriate for nearly any occasion. There are many tops in both my Women with Control® and Attitudes by Renée® collections that will do just the trick, no matter what look you’re going for. For a dressier look, I’d suggest my Attitudes by Renée® Cross-Front V Neck Tunic (A255532). Its flow-y silhouette gives just as much comfort as my leggings, and can be glammed up with the right accessories. For a chic post-gym look, go for my Attitudes by Renée® Combed Knit Pleat-Back Top (A240514). It’s perfect for throwing over your sports bra and/or tank after a workout, and is a great layering piece for combating the strong air conditioning we comb across in restaurants, boutiques and offices.

Let me know in the comments section below how you style your leggings.

With Attitude,

Renée

Baltic Amber and summer stroll in Gdunsk – Poland

It is Summer time in Gdank and finally the sun is out and I stroll down the streets enjoying the beautiful colors of my home town on the Baltic Sea. This is the best time to stroll the streets and the shops, with the most joyful assortment of amber jewelry displayed on wooden carts and in shop windows in every direction. Rows of earrings overwhelm the senses, while bracelets line the shelves beside a glass case full of necklaces and unique brooches.

Baltic amber is a gift that Mother Nature has prepared for us forty million years ago. Among hundreds of gems you may know only three of them are of plant origin – amber, diamonds and jet. Amber is organic so it may contain some pieces of ancient fauna or flora. You never know what you can discover in your Baltic Amber jewelry piece!

I was so excited when QVC invited me to take part of the Gem Day event and knew it is time to bring a new Amber statement.  For this show I am excited to launch a stunning collection of unusual blue amber and carved stones. Achieved by our long time experience with the raw material led us to bring the gorgeous blue color out of the Amber.

Only 20 percent of all amber stones are pure enough to carve them so we had to select the purest stones.  After selecting the stones - each stone was carved by hand. Only the most skilled artists are able to carve cameos. It takes years to learn how to carve cameos, and this amazing flower-design Ring is a perfect example.

Please join me and discover the secret of Baltic amber together on July 16th at 6 a.m.

My Four-Year Anniversary Celebration of Shawn Says Accessorize

I seriously can't believe it. 4yrs! Shawn says Accessorize has been on the air for 4yrs! I hosted a Big 2hr live audience show last Fri to cheer the big Annv! It was so much fun n i got to meet some really neat audience members!

Right b4 the show i posted on my fb page asking you to complete this sentence: "I Am ____."
(Me? I Am unfiltered! Verbose! Secretly Introverted! A dreamer!)

So! How abt u?

I am crazy for silver n also for inspirational jewelry. This bracelet was one of my favs during the show .... well, heck, they r all my favs!

I just had to go say hi!

The gal in white on ur far left is Cindy. I called out looking for a size 7 to prove how the Skechers fit true to size. Cindy fit the bill AND the shoe. She was a great sport n modeled like she had been doing it all her life!

WTG, Cindy!

I m so srry my mind can't remember this gal's name, but she was also terrific. We brought her up to model the crossbody bag and boy does she love to travel .... internationally too! Very cool!

And of course, we all know who this lovely n spunky lady is .... Kathleen Kirkwood. She is a hoot and what I wouldn't give to bottle her energy n spirit!

Ahhhhh n this gorgeous n strong lady! This is Sharon! I featured Sharon before on one of my Wonderful Wednesday Facebook posts and she came out to see the show.
I noticed a beautiful bouquet of pink sweetheart roses on the set and asked where they came from and Sharon raised her hand. Of course, I just had to meet her!

Sharon is only 40 some yrs old and is a very good, 'friend of a friend' as they say. She survived breast Cancer and a double mastectomy 6 + yrs ago...and she got new boobies! They wheeled her into the O.R. wearing a tiara (they wouldn't let her wear her red lipstick) and she finally regained a part of herself that was taken. And all while smiling. I can't imagine that journey, or how it must leave potholes on your soul. But Sharon's positive attitude, spirit of victory and humor, are an inspiration. Friends, I toast you and celebrate ur courage. "Corragio!" is courage in Italian. Stand strong.

and what live audience show would be complete without me passing out gummy bears?! The treat was a gift from my friend, Erika, congratulating me on the 4yr show! i affectionately refer to her as "booger butt". : ) Don't be offended, she told me she loves the nickname!!

And when i asked this beauty to fill in the blank, I am _____ what? She said she is a great supporter n cheerleader for her friends!! We all need a friend like that .... one of the best kinds to hve!

And here i am posing for a selfie with the awesome sauce folks who made up our live studio audience.! What a blast!

Here i am humbly thanking my friends for coming out in support of Shawn Says! i also had the touching opportunity to meet n thank with all my heart one of our dear service men, Lester.

Lester is a brave soul who brought his wife Carole to the show and was surrounded by women. Good sport! Found out Carole beat the hck outta cancer too!! Go Carole! P.S. Those 2 luvbirds will celebrate 46 yrs of marriage in Sept. wonder wht Joe n I will look like in 46 yrs n where he’ll take me for fun! Ha!

This is sheena. She is in a wheelchair. Has cerebral palsy. It has robbed her of some faculties and surely her physical ones. She needs help standing, sometimes communicating. And you know what, she oozes joy. Gives the tightest hugs I swear I've ever had. And her excitement to see the show live, well you'd think she'd met brad Pitt or some famous Hollywood idol. It brought me to tears. She watches the show every Friday w/o fail. Sheena reminded me abt simplicity. Abt loving ur life, even if it's not perfect or easy. Sheena isn't guarded, or angling to make her way in the world. There r no grudges or judges in her head. She is just overjoyed to be alive. And I cud tell seeing her unspeakable joy, gave her parents even more. Thank u to sheena for being pure love. And for being my biggest fan. Mtg sheena was a true God moment.
And did u notice Sheena is wearing my "hear my soul speak" ring?!

If u ever want to join us for a live studio audience show, just check our schedule here.

As many of you may or may not know today is Gem Day at QVC! We have phenomenal deals on some gorgeous designer gemstone pieces that I can't get enough of! I wanted to spend this special event day not only drooling over some of our most gorgeous pieces, but also highlighting a very special gem of our own here at QVC.

If you keep up on my Facebook page you'll see that recently I've been doing a lot of walking with one of my oldest friends and fellow program hosts, Nancy Hornback. Nancy and I have known each other for fourteen years now and worked together before the two of us even ended up at QVC.

As a Breast Cancer survivor, Nancy decided that this would be year she would take part in the 3 day- 60 Mile Susan G. Komen walk for Breast Cancer. Two the of us have been meeting up (when our schedules allow) to walk, talk, and of course get Nancy trained for the big event! I am more than honored to be part of her journey in prepping for this year's 3-day walk. I've got to tell you, as a woman that loves a good work out, she's really been pushing me!! We've been walking many miles per day, but time flies when you're in great company!

Not only is Nancy a strong, driven, and motivated individual, she also brings a little something special to our QVC host team. Nancy is currently making her way through the graduate program at the Gemological Institute of America.

So between all of the strange hours of working, the training for her 3-day walk, studying to complete her Gemologist Certification, she still manages to be loyal friend and wonderful Mother.

Cheers to Nancy as she is not only an expert in gems, but a gem herself!

Though Ireland’s Weather Can Be Unpredictable At Times, Its Beautiful, Rich Landscape Makes Up For It!

Sinead, Solvar Jewellery

How many time does the weather come into your vocabulary in a day? As you may have noticed, the Irish love to discuss the weather. Ever wonder why? Well let me tell you just how many times it has come up for conversation in 7 hours today for me.

First thing this morning, I looked out the bedroom window and told my husband it’s a day for the rain coat (1st time). Before we even made it downstairs to eat our breakfast, we had another discussion as to whether or not the kids should bring raincoats to their picnic (2th time)! Yes, image in that short space of time the sun had come out, and we decided to send the kids on a picnic. As I backed my car out of the drive, my neighbour shouts out, ‘It’s a shame you have to work on such a gorgeous day, Sinead!’ (3rd time) I arrive to work, and as I race for the door of the building with a cardigan over my head as the rain is coming down in buckets, Declan shouts, ‘Sinead, where’s your rain coat?’ (4th time) I finally arrive to my desk with a steaming cup of tea, and my colleague starts discussing the pros and cons of going on holidays in Ireland because it might rain (5th time). At 12:30 PM, Donal, who sits opposite me, informs me his ankle is at him and so I can expect heavy rainfalls soon (6th time). And boy was he right, I got a call to say come quick and pick the kids up, as they and their sandwiches got soaked in the park (7th time). The time is now 2:30 PM and everyone is smiling and happy, and the sun is shining. But for how long? And we wonder why Ireland is so green.

Here are two pictures taken in one day two weeks ago in Clogherhead Co Louth where we spend most of our weekends over the summer season.

Hope you all are having a wondering summer!

Sinead

Stephen, Connemara Marble

In Ireland, there are many areas of peat bogs, which are mainly held in common ownership. Many families have harvested the turf from their own part of the bog for generations, and, near the quarry, Marty Burke goes down to the bog to harvest enough turf to keep his home cozy and warm and provide fuel for cooking to last the whole winter. The sods of turf are cut from the bog and then stood up in little 'Stooks' so the wind can blow through them to dry them out. Summer sunshine helps too, and, when dry, they will be brought home and stored for use in the colder months ahead.

I think it's lovely the way Marty and his family can benefit from nature’s rich bounty and to be able to live from the land itself.

New Lisa Roberston Christmas, New Ways to Decorate! Celebrate Christmas in July®!

This is our big Christmas in July® Sale weekend, and we're finishing up with A Lisa Robertson Christmas on Sunday night at 10pm ET. I am so excited! It is true that Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and I am always looking for new ways to make my home beautiful for the holidays. This year, there are so many new, beautiful things in Sunday's show I am not sure where to begin!

Yesterday, we showed you the brand-new cloche, and a lot of you are already ordering it. This cloche is something with an infinite number of possibilities. You can hold the dome upside down in your hand and fill it with Christmas ornaments. Then, while it's still upside down, you put the base on it and then flip the whole thing over. Now you have a beautiful dome filled with the colors of Christmas! You can also put a single figurine in the center and put some lights around it or leave it on its own. I love the idea of a little arrangement in the dome. Something like a bird’s nest with a little bird and some beautiful lights. I am also curious to try one of Valerie Parr Hill’s mercury light spheres inside the dome with the microlights around it. I love the concept of light and texture all mixed together in different ways at different elevations.

I love this cloche for decorating throughout the year, but when you add the microlights, it is the most beautiful, airy look for Christmas. (By the way, if you want to use lights in the cloche, the microlights from Valerie are perfect. You put the battery pack in the base below the mirror and run the fine part of the wire around the edge of the mirror and under the bottom edge of the dome. It's really gorgeous.)

You can put anything from an Easter Bunny to a pastry in this, and it's going to be awesome! So decorate away. :)

I'll see you Sunday night at 10pm ET!

Now that I'm back from vacation - and in the midst of writing about our trip to share with you (next week) --- I can't wait to tell you about VERA BRADLEY joining us for the trip!

I was lucky enough to be able to take all 3 of the NEW Vera Bradley Patterns in our Today's Special Value Crescent Handbag to Alaska & Hawaii!  Let's just say I got a lot of attention!!!

Top Right: Ziggy Zinnia; Bottom Left: Pink Swirls; Bottom Right: African Violet

You know you love VERA BRADLEY when every woman you pass carrying a Vera bag  - you're able to name the pattern!!!  Yep, that's me!

African Violets

I changed between my 3 TSV Vera Crescent Handbags during the trip - all 3 went with EVERYTHING - and stored a lot - including my Canon EOS Rebel camera and extra lens!

Pink Swirls - after losing their color 110 ft underwater!

I even took the latest Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Foundation Print in our Today's Special Value - Pink Swirls - 110 Feet under the Pacific Ocean in a submarine in Hawaii!  When you're 110 feet underwater you lose colors in the color spectrum - that's why it looks purple!!!

Besides taking 2 of the MUST HAVE Vera Bradley Large Duffles as our carry-ons for the plane rides - I had a Mini Hipster - Smart Phone Wallet - Get Carried Away Tote with Ditty Bag (that I stored all my Halo Chargers (link to Halo) inside - a zip up book cover, PLUS all 3 patterns in our Today's Special Value Vera Bradley!

I was stopped by a mom and her little girl who said "Mommy, you don't have that pattern, do you?" --- So I told her I worked for QVC and we would be launching the patterns and the new tote design on July 17th!  We had fun chatting - and agreed it's like a sisterhood when it comes to Vera Bradley!

Ziggy Zinnia

As we said Aloha to Hawaii - my friends, the beach, palm trees and the turtles at our hotel - Vera Bradley never disappoints!

Thank you VERA BRADLEY for making our world colorful and fun!!!

I'd love to see your Vera collections!  Send me your photos on my Facebook page - www.facebook.com/jacqueqvc - and email them to accessories@qvc.com!

Best wishes, blessings and a colorful VERA Summer to each of you!

Susan Graver's Foxy Makeover

Last year, I went to Beijing twice to conduct training sessions for our sister network, CNR Mall. When I'm in China for QVC, I work really long hours, but my weekends are free, so I pack those days with sightseeing and shopping.  My favorite market is the Panjiayuan Market (also called the Dirt Market.) You can find everything there, from household products, to beads, handbags, and antiques. Bargaining for a good price is part of the fun, and I really enjoy trying to use my limited Mandarin skills to negotiate.

(pics of market)

Last August, I was looking at some jewelry but nothing seemed very exciting, until I saw a fox ring. It's certainly not fine jewelry, but it made me smile, so I agreed to a price and popped it on my finger.

(pick of silver fox ring here)

In October, I ran into Susan Graver and she immediately grabbed my hand and said, "What is that??" I told her where I got it and she said, "I know I could do an even more fabulous version!" I sort of forgot about our conversation, until I was in Susan's offices a few months ago. There on a desk, was the fox ring re-imagined.

(pic of new ring)

I now have my plain silver fox and my sparkly fox sitting side by side in my jewelry box and I love wearing them both. And best of all, the fox now has a menagerie of new friends. The novelty rings also include a frog, leopard and peacock! Which one is your favorite?

I’ve invested in many successful products on Shark Tank! The most successful business in Shark Tank history is The Scrub Daddy which will be the Today’s Special Value on July 30th!! You won’t want to miss this great deal!

It is the most AMAZING sponge.  How can you fall in love with a sponge you might ask?  Easy!!  It doesn’t hold odors (that was enough for me), but it also turns hard in cold water, soft in hot water and always stays nice looking! Plus it’s a smiley face, so what’s not to like?!  Yes, every day when I see my Scrub Daddy in the sink - I like it.  That was not my experience ever before with the old “other brand” sponges I used to use. I hope you can tune in and join us.  I know it will become YOUR favorite sponge too!

Here’s Aaron (the inventor) and I:

Arrangements From Your Own Backyard

$

When we need a floral centerpiece or arrangement, we don’t need to plan a trip to the local grocer or flower shop – all we need to do is step out into our own backyard.  The summer season is the perfect time to pick our blooming perennials and annuals that decorate our yards gardens.  Don’t forget we can trim from our garden containers and window boxes too.

Be creative selecting a container, maybe a basket or Mason jar for a summery, casual look?  Remember anything goes when working with flowers.  I love the look of a basket full of cut flowers so I like to turn this into an arrangement.  For a soft, whimsical look, I love a summer basket full of yellow feverfew, Queen Anne’s lace, lady’s mantel and coreopsis.

For a double bonus of fragrance and rich shades of green, I head right to my herb garden and patio containers.   Lemon verbena adds a wonderful green element to any arrangement and a nice citrus aroma.  Rosemary, basil (both green and purple) mint and sage also make for great additions of color and fragrance.   And how could I not mention my favorite - I like to incorporate a few stems from my tomato plants.  Every gardener tending to their tomatoes relishes the earthy, unmistakable smell and how wonderful it is to bring this inside your home.

If you are lucky enough to have established blooming shrubs - hydrangea, abelia, summer sweet, red spiaria, crepe myrtle – there are your colors!  Sometimes I like to incorporate some greens too which I simply trim right from trees.

As always, take the time to enjoy your plants, herbs and flowers – I believe they like the time with us too!

July Care for your Tomato Plants

$

Around this time we should all be giving a little, last minute TLC to our tomato plants.  I can’t express the joy I get from picking juicy, red tomatoes from my garden.

I suggest giving one last fertilization to your tomato plants for the season.  I like to do this to ensure the soil is nutrient-filled and giving continued support to the plants.   Organic fertilizer is ideal (better yet – from your compost bin!) one rich in phosphates and potassium.  You can add a layer of fertilizer your entire garden or just around the base of the tomato plants to help hold down weeds too.  As far as holding-up the plants, add extra ties or re-tie to see that the tomatoes are surely supported.

I also know many gardeners who remove the “suckers” i.e. side shoots on the plants.  They are in the group that believes this process allows the plants to focus on bearing fruit and directs all watering and nutrients to the tomatoes that are already on their way.  On the other side of the equation, some gardeners leave the tomato side shoots alone, contending that the “suckers” are part of the tomato “team” adding support to the entire plant with the nutrients they receive from water, sunlight and soil.

Oh – And a tip on using the last of your tomato harvest; before the first frost pick any green tomatoes you might have.  Wash them with a bit of highly diluted mixture of Clorox and water (think teaspoon to a gallon of water) to remove any bacteria, pat dry, wrap in newspaper and store in a cool place.  Over the next few weeks – possibly well into November - you will be able to enjoy juicy, red tomatoes anytime.

- Barbara

A day to remember...

The time has FINALLY come! I have just received my wedding pictures and I could not be more excited to share them with you all!

On June 19, 2014, Sean and I were set to be married at the most magical place named Oheka Castle. Built in 1914, the castle is located in Long Island, New York. We chose to have our wedding there because of the beautiful gardens, baroque motifs and overall exquisite architecture and design of the building itself.

I felt so blessed to have my entire family and close friends that flew in from Australia for the big day in addition to all my friends from out of town which made it all the more special.

I am not going to sugar coat it, planning the wedding all on my own was extremely stressful and being the absolute perfectionist that I am, well… you can imagine! However, I have no regrets, I could not have asked for a more perfect day and couldn’t have been happier with the way that everything went. It was truly the best day of my life.

The Dress…

Finding your perfect dress can be quite the task! After running around Manhattan trying at least 50 different dresses of all shapes, styles and designers I ended up selecting a dress that was the total opposite of what I thought I wanted! It’s important to keep an open mind in searching for your dress as the different fabrications and bridal cuts will fit everyone’s body shapes differently. I worked closely with the amazing team at Bergdorf Goodman and bridal designer Ines Di Santo to design and construct the most magical gown. I learnt so much about the construction of bridal dresses during this time. When I finally saw the finished gown it blew me away.

Since this was a Spring wedding I had selected a color palette that was soft and calming consisting of Lavender, soft Moss, distressed Silvers & Crèmes. I designed the Lavender bridesmaids dresses and really chose this color because it’s a color that is very flattering on all skin tones in addition to it being one of my favorite colors. I also want to thank the team at John Hardy Jewelry for the beautiful earrings I wore with my gown. I had bought my bridesmaids gifts from the JAI by John Hardy collection at QVC.com, they have a fantastic selection of elegant gifts.

One of the big challenges with weddings is finding reliable and affordable wedding or event vendors. I did a lot of research into vendors and had such a fantastic experience with the ones I used and I have shared their information below here for your reference! A full list can be found on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Aimee-Kestenberg/649154798484969

Overall, we had such a blast and even had some of my favorite ladies in attendance.

Sometimes its easy for us to get caught up in minor problems or stressful situations but its important to take a step back, put things into perspective and remember how precious life is and how lucky we are to have special moments like these to remember with the ones we love. My father-daughter dance and laughs with Sean, my family and friends will be forever cherished.

Crayon Art!!

Chelsea found this really cool art project on Pinterest!!  She wanted to create some colorful artwork for her room.  There is nothing more colorful than CRAYONS!!!

You will need:

Stretched canvas

Crayons- depending on the look you are going for you can use   new crayons or old broken pieces

Glue gun/glue sticks

Blow dryer

Chelsea started with a stretched canvas.  Select the colors you want to use and design.

Use a glue gun to adhere the crayons to the canvas.

Once your canvas is covered and the glue is dry, use a blow dryer to melt the crayons.  They will begin to slowly drip down the canvas.  You can direct the flow of the melted crayon by changing the direction of the blow dryer.  It is really cool.

Be sure to cover the area you are working in to protect against over spray.

And.....Viola!!!

Great job, Chelsea!!
