The Perfect Valentine's Day Treat!

Our hearts skipped a beat when we saw this yummy Valentine's Day recipe from Jill Bauer! Enjoy :)

Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

2 cups sugar

1 cup shortening

1 cup sour cream

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

5 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

½ tsp cream of tartar

Powdered sugar for rolling dough

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375
2. Cream sugar and shortening together. Add sour cream, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
3. Add dry ingredients and mix well (dough should not be sticky).
4. Roll out cookie dough on a clean surface sprinkled with powdered sugar about ¼” thick. Cut into desired shapes.
5. Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet until cookies are puffy and light brown on the bottom, about 10 minutes.
6. Cool completely and frost with your favorite frosting.
