Time for Ms. Shawn’s 5-week haircut with Maria McCool of Calista Tools.
3 sections are used for the “Shawnee K Expression” (as dubbed by Maria)
Section 1 starts in the back nape which is sectioned ear to ear.
Hair is held vertically and cut with a razor at one inch length from scalp.
Section 2 is at the skull ridge from temple to temple.
Still using vertical sections, start on the sides and cut hair 1.5” length and 2” in the back connecting it to the nape area.
Continue with horizontal sections to the part on both sides using the razor to create texture and release any bulk on top.
Section 3 is the top. Zig zag the part and pull entire bang to the left and cut on an angle to the right.
Maria applies Expand from Calista Tools and then Shawn dries it herself to make sure the cut works perfectly for her.
Last minute touches to be sure it is perfect…
and Voila!! The “Shawnee K Expression”!!
