Last year, I went to Beijing twice to conduct training sessions for our sister network, CNR Mall. When I'm in China for QVC, I work really long hours, but my weekends are free, so I pack those days with sightseeing and shopping. My favorite market is the Panjiayuan Market (also called the Dirt Market.) You can find everything there, from household products, to beads, handbags, and antiques. Bargaining for a good price is part of the fun, and I really enjoy trying to use my limited Mandarin skills to negotiate.

Last August, I was looking at some jewelry but nothing seemed very exciting, until I saw a fox ring. It's certainly not fine jewelry, but it made me smile, so I agreed to a price and popped it on my finger.

In October, I ran into Susan Graver and she immediately grabbed my hand and said, "What is that??" I told her where I got it and she said, "I know I could do an even more fabulous version!" I sort of forgot about our conversation, until I was in Susan's offices a few months ago. There on a desk, was the fox ring re-imagined.

I now have my plain silver fox and my sparkly fox sitting side by side in my jewelry box and I love wearing them both. And best of all, the fox now has a menagerie of new friends. The novelty rings also include a frog, leopard and peacock! Which one is your favorite?
