The early bloomers are here, and, if you‘re like me, you’re enjoying the color and wonderful fragrances that are popping up everywhere to fill the grey holes of winter. It lifts my spirits and puts a spring in my step!
I’d love to hear from all of you…What is you favorite spring flower?
Is it the happy daffodil?
...so warm with the various shades of yellow. You may have seen this one on a popular Bob Mackie design:
Bob Mackie’s Floral Embroidered Knit T-Shirt (A201313)
There are many other colors and floral designs to choose from. Every color has a different flower. This combination with the yellow and periwinkle is beautiful, don’t you think?
I am a big fan of tulips. My husband, Ivo, is originally from Holland so I have had the wonderful opportunity to see the tulip fields over there where tulips grow in abundance. There are so many different colors and varieties. This is a pink parrot tulip. What do you think of those fancy edges?
They have a fun frilliness to them. Bob has done tulips many times. You can find them on the Floral Embroidered Knit T-Shirt in the green color choice…
As well as Bob Mackie’s ¾ Sleeve Button Front Blouse with Gingham Detail (A224592).
I had this one on the air at QVC just last week. It comes in this pink and turquoise. There are still some of those available if you like that one. The gingham detail is adorable!
For blast of wonderful fragrance I love the hyacinth:
I could stand next to a hyacinth plant and inhale the scent all day long. I just can’t get enough and the colors are all so pretty.
My favorite Mackie floral is a blast of color as well:
Bob Mackie’s Boat Neck Placement Print Caftan Top with Tank (A223767)
It’s more of a contemporary “flower power” interpretation, but the combination of colors is fantastic and that is what a true artistic/fashion designer like Bob Mackie knows how to do. I wear this one with jeans, capris, cropped pants… even skirts. It flows so wonderfully with the body. And the tank that comes with it gives you the coverage that you need.
If I have perked your appetite for more spring looks, be sure to check out the other lovely florals that Bob has in his Wearable Art collection at QVC. I welcome your feedback, questions and “favorite flower” stories!
