What a whirlwind it has been. We’ve been shooting with designers every morning and checking in with you LIVE on air during the week… and tonight our big finale, the Special Designer Edition of PM STYLE.
First things first… who is your most favorite designer? It doesn’t have to be here at the Q… and maybe it’s a line you most identify yourself with. Isn’t it funny how you can turn on the TV or walk into a store and think to yourself “This is so me” when it comes to identifying your lifestyle and who you are with clothing. Maybe it’s even a handbag or a pair of shoes. Bottom line- Don’t you love how fashion can make you who are you or let you feel like someone you strive to be? It’s such an emotional, internal experience for all us and I think that’s why this industry thrives.
Here are some ideas that I have seen on the streets of NYC to help inspire your Fall Fashion.
1) Leopard Print Shoes. Check out Sofft’s Makayla Leather Ankle Boots, for that Front Row, High Fashion Comfort. Leopard Print Heels and Booties have been all over the front windows of major retailers and on the streets of fellow fashionistas. I love the use of animal print in a shoe because it lets you experience an edgy sophisticated trend without committing too much.
2) Textured Hair- Soft Effortless looks in upstyles. Try Sarah Potempa’s Beachwaver to help you achieve soft curls and pin hair into knot formations.
3) A Bold Lip- My Beauty Obsession for the Week! Take a Look at Mally’s Pro-Tricks Lip Palette and see what bold color combinations you can come up with in your own home. You can lighten, deepen, and mix any of the shades to create your own signature, one-of-a-kind lip color. Thank you Mally!
4) Leather- Whatever you do, find something Leather! Whether it’s real or faux… treat yourself to the look of LUXE. Here I am with George Simonton and Lori Goldstein in a Faux Leather Skirt. Whatever length, whatever style… stay true to you. Leather accessories such as bands and watches were still huge on the front rows of the runway. If your more traditional throw on your leather jacket over a jeans and T-shirt look and step it out of the box with a great shoe.
5) Food- Cheers to the tastes of the season! Here I am trying new dishes for the Fall Season.
I’ll be chatting with you LIVE from Bryant Park tonight, so I hope you will come over to my facebook page and chat with me. Here’s to an exciting designer edition of PM STYLE!
