(Though my drink tasted just as amazing as David's, his photo can't be topped!)
David may have devised the recipe, but I consider Frozen Summer Sangria mine.
I whipped it up several times this season—and even brought the required frozen fruit and my Vitamix on vacation! The ingredients list doesn’t specify, but this drink goes especially well with girlfriends. There’s nothing like a pitcher on the patio with a bunch of your besties.
Even though everyone’s in back-to-school mode, I just wanted to provide this public-service message: there’s still time to savor Frozen Summer Sangria with friends. Technically, it’s summer until September 21!
Ingredients:
- 6 oz frozen mango chunks
- 3 oz frozen peach slices
- 3 oz frozen pineapple chunks
- 4 cups ice
- 1/2 a lime, peeled
- 1 orange, peeled and halved
- 1-3/4 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup sugar
Directions:
- Place the ingredients into a blender and blend for 45-60 seconds, or until the drink is completely smooth. Serve immediately.
Enjoy the last drops,
