It is the time of year when we all talk about things that we are thankful for. I am grateful to have a wonderful family. I am incredibly thankful to be healthy. I have a husband that loves me, a roof over my head and a job that I love. I don’t know how I got so lucky, but I will just keep working hard to deserve it.
I would like to spend this time talking about YOU. I have been chatting with you for over 2 years now and we have become good friends. I read your comments, I love your jokes, and I get a kick out of your pictures. I love to see photos of your kitchen successes (no matter how messy you think they are)! When you don’t feel well or have gotten bad news, my heart goes out to you. When you have had great news, I want to celebrate your triumph! I am very thankful that you have chosen to share these times with me.
I would like to mention a few specifics, if I may. I am proud of Kim for her hard work on her career. I am heartbroken that Harold and Linda passed away. I love when Kathleen shares recipes. Katie and Carole, my heart goes out to you both. Stephen, thank you for always giving us the low down on our most wanted kitchen items! I am so sorry Brenda had some trouble with her computer this year, but so glad the iPad is awesome! Ali, I am so excited for you and Mike. Chris and George, I so appreciate your kind spirits. Rachel, you have wonderful times coming your way. Please join our chats and meet all of the wonderful people that make up our Foodie Family. ALL of you are amazing, this paragraph just names a few.
I am proud to be your friend and am so proud of everything you all do for your families, each other, and for your communities. If you know me, you know I don’t do this often, but I would like to make a request. Please get out this holiday and volunteer, if you are able. Check online for your local food bank or food cabinet and see how you can help. Let’s take our fantastic foodie community and share it to those that need us. I sure do appreciate you and THANK YOU!
