Hi Friends,
In celebration of Cooking On Q today, I thought I would share another recipe with you ….. one great for the fall season and one I would consider the perfect “comfort food” dish: Diane’s Chili.
I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I do!!
Diane’s Chili
- Two pounds ground beef
- 1 Clove garlic
- 2 Large onions, chopped
- 1-1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- ¼ Teaspoon Red Pepper (Cayenne)
- Dash of Cloves
- 2 Can kidney beans with juice
- ¼ Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 Teaspoon paprika
- 1 Teaspoon basil
- Four cups tomato juice
- One can crushed tomatoes
Brown ground beef with garlic and onions. Drain well. Add all remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered for thirty minutes (I like the Ninja). Serve over rice, crackers, mashed potatoes or top with cheese and sour cream or simply enjoy plain!
Counting Our Blessings,
Mary Beth Roe
