Hi kids, happy May! It's finally starting to feel like Spring and I'm thrilled to be bringing you a really special item on Monday! It's this divine t-shirt dress that is seriously going to become your new favorite item. Your closets will thank you, darlings! This is a piece you cannot miss for spring or summer. It's easy, chic, colorful, mobile, fun. It takes any accessory, any occasion, any mood and makes it better.
I promise you'll wear this dress so often because its such a versatile piece. Amazing how time flies when you’re having fun! It’s hard to believe that I’ve been selling my products on QVC for over 15 years. I can still remember my 1st time on air like it was yesterday & I was TERRIFIED! I think I hardly said a word during that first airing I was so worried at how my product would do. It SOLD OUT and the joy of selling out at that moment is so hard to express.
I can share too it was also an incredible “sigh of relief”! You invest a lot of time and money, so it is a big risk. The excitement that your "baby” that you worked so hard to create and get manufactured will continue on and you won’t go into debt – well I am sure that speaks for itself. That first item of mine on QVC was an Earring Organizer and it lasted on air a good 3 years. Then, I created a larger wooden jewelry box very similar to my current H165020 Deluxe Gold and Silver SafeKeeper that I sell on QVC now. That replaced the Earring Organizer and was a bigger, better version. This one has lasted many years and is one of mine and one of your favorites.
I kept creating new items and was always so thrilled with the experience of being able to talk with all of you and hear your feedback. I find that most gratifying - being able to communicate with each other. In the early days I heard your voices when you would call in on air. LOVED this and still do! Today with the advent of Social Media –Facebook, Twitter and my Website I can talk to all of you all the time and I LOVE this too! I find it so engaging. I’m fascinated to hear your thoughts, who you are, what you like, about your families, EVERYTHING! And yes, it’s ME looking, reading, posting and replying.
If I were to share some favorite moments during the last 15 years, the ones that come to mind right away were the “unusual” times. One time many years ago I was selling my Magical Floating Water Candles – any of you remember those??!!, and the studio had a blackout!!! So ironic that I’m selling candles as the studio goes completely dark! The candles hardly helped. The studio is large with very high ceilings and no windows so it was pitch black with a tiny flicker from my candles. Pat James DeMentri and I didn’t know if the cameras were still on or not so we just kept talking. It was hilarious! Of course we did manage to get out of the studio and the power went back up several hours later, but I don’t think that ever happened before or since.
Another very fun time was when there was a huge blizzard overnight and we had a 7am show. Fortunately, we had an SUV, so we got to the studio around 6am, but literally NO ONE else did. There was about 2 feet of snow or more – the roads were empty. But as they say in TV – the show must go on, so my husband and I and anyone still at QVC from the overnight crew all pitched in and we stayed the whole day filling in for whatever was needed. I think I even went on with someone else’s product to help out! Everyone did whatever was needed. The poor overnight crew was working a double shift! I remember there was a cooking show coming up and we were in the QVC kitchens making food and styling product for the food show. A first for me at the time, it came out “pretty” good, but not the greatest LOL. Amazing what one can scrape together when needed! The great thing was that in times of adversity, it can really be great fun to all pull together to make things happen. I have seen this a lot in life and it is some of my fondest memories, even though at the time what all thought very adverse.
Well, I’ll stop now for this walk through memory lane, but there’s a lot more to share in the future.

One of the sweetest words in the world: Mom, Madre, Mother, Mãe, Nana, Mère, Maji, Mutter... no matter how you spell it, the meaning is the same, LOVE. They say, ‘God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.’ Although the role of a mother has changed throughout history, one thing has always remained consistent and that is what they give: life, love, protection, hope, and dreams to children, both young and old.
I have always shared a very special connection with my Mom. Growing up, I thought she could do anything, simply because she appeared to do everything. At 40 years old and expecting my first child any day, I can only hope my child feels the same way about me that I feel about my Mom. I truly believe the relationship with your mom is one of the most important relationships you will ever have.
Years ago, I gave my Mom a Tiffany’s diamond cross necklace. Her expression was priceless when she saw that iconic Tiffany blue box. At first she refused to open it and told me I was crazy for spending that kind of money on her, but once she opened it, she had that necklace on in no time. Since the day I gave it her, she has never taken it off. My Mom says that no matter where I am in the world, she can touch her cross and know that I am with her. Every Mother’s Day since then, I have given her a special and unique piece of jewelry. This has become our tradition and memory maker.
This Mother’s Day is going to be extra special because it’ll be the first year my Mom receives a piece from our new JAI John Hardy Collection. Hello everyone! I trust you made out well since last time we saw each other. Gosh, what a great fashion day. I know I picked up a few good finds such as a LOGO top, but I’m always interested in what you found. Did you step out of the box a little or did you stay true to your fashion style? I feel like I have to ask that question because our Fashion Must-Haves are always changing. There is always one surprise on the list and that’s always fun to look forward to. While you’re mulling that over, let me introduce you to this week’s Beauty Obsession: NuFACE.
Do you have five minutes? Because that’s entirely why I chose this as one of my new anti-aging obsessions. In a world where sometimes it can feel like everyone is taking five minutes from you and you barely have time for yourself… this is five minutes that’s worth making. This is a multi tasking device. What I mean by that is that you could be watching your favorite TV show and stimulating your skin to help give back what gravity took away… youthful, lifted skin. If you want the opportunity for your skin to appear more toned… this is something worth trying. NuFACE comes with excellent directions. You can use this all over different areas of the face and NuFACE shows you exactly what direction to go in, the duration (5 seconds), and 3 times in each area. The big plus for me when I used it is that I didn’t have to worry about keeping the NuFACE in one place. Sometimes, anti-aging can be complicated; this is relatively easy and for a lot us we will be able to see immediate results. A lot of you have heard my story about fellow host, Sharon Faetsch’s skin being firmer than mine because she has been using great tools for anti-aging. The two nights I used the NuFace the biggest difference I noticed in my personal tone was along the jaw line. I’ve haven’t felt like my skin was firm nor toned there for a long time and thought it might have been my genetics kicking in. I encourage you to give this a try because if you’re getting bored with the serums or would like to do more than a serum… this might be the perfect next step for you to take it to the next level. This week on PM Style I was more than thrilled to see pieces from Kenneth Jay Lane in the show that are sure to get you roaring. There’s a movie coming out very soon that’s going to take us all back to the 1920s and I know a lot of us could not be more excited. That’s what I love about film… not only does it have the ability to grab our emotions and change us forever, but it has the ability to inspire us into trends such as the amazing period of the 1920s. Side Note: This past Fashion Day, I tried to channel a tasteful 1920’s flair with a LOGO top and polka dot pants…very fun!
What you see below are the pieces you will see throughout PM STYLE that are brand new from KJL. To quote my friend, Barry Ort “These were pieces specifically selected to tie into this big movie. I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! My Mom passed away several years ago, and there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of her. I have such fond memories, and I carry them in my heart every day. A mother’s love is quite special and should be cherished always. I know my mother is flying with the angels and is still looking down to make sure I am ok. I miss you and love you.
For all of you out there…I hope it is a very special day for you and your family! Happy Mother’s Day!

Flowers for Mom!
I actually developed my desire to be a designer from my Mother and Grandmother, both loved to dress up and loved shopping. They were truly inspirational! I sometimes think about what she would like when I am designing. One particular item she always loved was wearing dresses and this is one of my favorite catagories to develop!
I designed this dress and shrug as a great go-to piece for all occassions. I was inspired while shopping in Europe by all of the crochet and lace trims I saw
and thought it was a great feminine touch to add to this ensemble. This dress is truly versatile, and you can add a different shrug or jacket to create a totally different look. I can’t believe James and I have been married for 25years!! What a blessing. I thank God for bringing us together, bringing our families together, and blessing us with Lauren and Chelsea. It is not always easy. We like every couple have had our share of up’s and down’s but we pledged before God and our family and friends that we will love each other, support each other, laugh and cry with each other.
We were married at 3:30 pm May 7th 1988
I wore my Mothers wedding dress. A few alterations were needed, new lace and of course 80’s puffy shoulders. Our Church is one block away from where our reception was held so we took a horse drawn carriage.
Our first dance was to Anita Baker “Giving you the Best that I’ve Got”.
Lord willing, I am looking forward to the next 25 years. I love you James Brown.
Every time I prepare for a show or Today’s Special Value, I'm reminded of how blessed, honored, and ecstatic I am to be able to share my products with QVC viewers! Over the last eight years, my team and I have a developed a system to ensure every detail is taken care of prior to any on-air appearance. Preparation is THE most important part of the process, and I feel that I've gotten stronger at perfecting it over the years. We always give it 150%!
From the minute my team and I are notified that we have an on-air appearance, we get to work! We begin requesting our models (generally 15 to 20 per show) and calling upon our fierce team of makeup artists that have mastered the Mally Beauty look! From there, we spend hours assembling our "Run of Show," carefully deciding which models will give the viewers the best and most accurate impressions of the products. I also take AT LEAST an entire day (and typically a few sleepless nights!) to review all of the notes I've made for each product and practice my presentation with my wonderful husband, Phil, and the rest of my team as my audience! Then, of course, there's a strategic packing plan of action to ensure we have everything my team and I need for a successful show. It's crazy and intense, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

We've had a few days of absolutely gorgeous weather, and the first thing I love to do is open the windows and let the fresh air in! It's the best scent! So, if you are able to join us tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th, we invite you to our "Summer Open House". We will celebrate ALL day and show you how to get your home ready for entertaining, cooking, decorating all while putting you in a "summer state of mind"!
I love to entertain in the summer by feeding people out on the deck or on the back patio, but I always feel like I'm missing that 'helping hand' of a place to put everything. If that sounds like you, I have the perfect idea for us! It will be our TSV (Today's Special Value) tonight at midnight. It's a hardwood kitchen cart that is now expandable! It has TWO work surface areas in just one cart. Plus, it arrives fully assembled (one less thing for me to ask Mark to do), is available in several different colors to match your decor, can be easily moved (has wheels), can be locked safely into place and has two shelves on the bottom.
The extra two feet of work space makes a huge difference in what you can use it for, like taking dishes from inside to outside or from the kitchen to the dining room, or even setting up a beverage or dessert center. Or how about taking your cold food right out to the grill, since so many grills don't give much work surface area? Of course there are so many other ways to use it in your home, like folding laundry, crafts, kids' homework, making cookies, or let it be the kitchen island you've always wanted or the extra countertop space you've always needed!
The colors are beautiful in oak, walnut, mocha or cherry, so think about it ahead of time. It will be offered with easy pay, making it even more affordable! After 2-3 decades of raising 4 kids and all that is involved, if I can make my life a bit easier when it comes to summertime and entertaining, I'm all for it!

With mother's day this coming Sunday, I wanted to pay a tribute to my mother Shirley. Although she is no longer with us, I miss her and think of her each and every day and I would not be who I am today without her love and support.
Growing up on Long Island, my mother was always involved in both mine and my brother's activities. She enrolled me in piano and ballet classes and was even my girl scout troop leader! She was the kind of person who always supported my brother Joel and me no matter what we did.
When I became a mother myself, she was always there for me and proved to be the most caring and loving grandmother I could ask for.
When I started the Susan Graver line with my mother-in-law Audrey - another extraordinary woman - and partnered with QVC, not only did she give me the utmost encouragement, she watched all of my shows and would give me her honest feedback. We spoke after every show. Although she lived in Florida at the time, she taped every single show of mine and mailed it to me in New York!
She loved to wear and brag to her friends about my designs and was ecstatic that she could wear the same pieces that I wore. In many ways it has come full circle and now my daughter, Jaclyn, loves to snatch some of my Susan Graver pieces to wear and style her own way.
