Hi kids, happy May! It's finally starting to feel like Spring and I'm thrilled to be bringing you a really special item on Monday! It's this divine t-shirt dress that is seriously going to become your new favorite item. Your closets will thank you, darlings!  This is a piece you cannot miss for spring or summer. It's easy, chic, colorful, mobile, fun. It takes any accessory, any occasion, any mood and makes it better.

    Coming Soon!

I promise you'll wear this dress so often because its such a versatile piece. Pair it with one of my floral cardis or scarves if it's a little chilly, and bring it from day to night by wearing it with a fun wedge like A232757. Also this dress screams for accessories – A Bridgehampton tote? Yes, please! One of my ceramic watches – YES.

Aside from wearing this a dress, you'll see on Monday that I'm pairing it with a legging so it becomes tunic-ish. This is the perfect way to still enjoy this dress if you're feeling nervous about the length. It's just one more reason I love the pieces I create for you girls – I give you many ways to wear everything so that you feel SO good in my clothes!

I hope you'll tune in on Monday – I'll be at the Q all day long with this dress and so many other fun and gorgeous items! I'll also be at the Q Saturday at noon for Fashion Day featuring my floral Must-Have!

  • 05/03/13--08:54: 15 Years at QVC!
  • Amazing how time flies when you’re having fun!  It’s hard to believe that I’ve been selling my products on QVC for over 15 years. I can still remember my 1st time on air like it was yesterday & I was TERRIFIED! I think I hardly said a word during that first airing I was so worried at how my product would do.  It SOLD OUT and the joy of selling out at that moment is so hard to express.

I can share too it was also an incredible “sigh of relief”!  You invest a lot of time and money, so it is a big risk.  The excitement that your "baby” that you worked so hard to create and get manufactured will continue on and you won’t go into debt – well I am sure that speaks for itself.   That first item of mine on QVC was an Earring Organizer and it lasted on air a good 3 years. Then, I created a larger wooden jewelry box very similar to my current H165020 Deluxe Gold and Silver SafeKeeper that I sell on QVC now. That replaced the Earring Organizer and was a bigger, better version.  This one has lasted many years and is one of mine and one of your favorites.

I kept creating new items and was always so thrilled with the experience of being able to talk with all of you and hear your feedback.  I find that most gratifying - being able to communicate with each other.  In the early days I heard your voices when you would call in on air.  LOVED this and still do!  Today with the advent of Social Media –Facebook, Twitter and my Website I can talk to all of you all the time and I LOVE this too!  I find it so engaging.  I’m fascinated to hear your thoughts, who you are, what you like, about your families, EVERYTHING!  And yes, it’s ME looking, reading, posting and replying.

If I were to share some favorite moments during the last 15 years, the ones that come to mind right away were the “unusual” times.  One time many years ago I was selling my Magical Floating Water Candles – any of you remember those??!!, and the studio had a blackout!!! So ironic that I’m selling candles as the studio goes completely dark!  The candles hardly helped. The studio is large with very high ceilings and no windows so it was pitch black with a tiny flicker from my candles.  Pat James DeMentri and I didn’t know if the cameras were still on or not so we just kept talking.  It was hilarious!  Of course we did manage to get out of the studio and the power went back up several hours later, but I don’t think that ever happened before or since.

Another very fun time was when there was a huge blizzard overnight and we had a 7am show.  Fortunately, we had an SUV, so we got to the studio around 6am, but literally NO ONE else did.  There was about 2 feet of snow or more – the roads were empty.  But as they say in TV – the show must go on, so my husband and I and anyone still at QVC from the overnight crew all pitched in and we stayed the whole day filling in for whatever was needed. I think I even went on with someone else’s product to help out!  Everyone did whatever was needed.  The poor overnight crew was working a double shift!  I remember there was a cooking show coming up and we were in the QVC kitchens making food and styling product for the food show.  A first for me at the time, it came out “pretty” good, but not the greatest LOL. Amazing what one can scrape together when needed!  The great thing was that in times of adversity, it can really be great fun to all pull together to make things happen.  I have seen this a lot in life and it is some of my fondest memories, even though at the time what all thought very adverse.

The month of May is here at last! And did I mention….. it’s DELL DAYS!?!?  During the entire month of May you will find exclusive products and deals on QVC and QVC.com on all Dell models. Whether it be a desktop, laptop, all-in-one, tablet or printer that you are looking for – now is the time to shop!  I have been waiting for this event all year!

I am even more excited about our upcoming Today’s Special Value on May 5th. We will be offering QVC’s most popular 2013 Dell Inspiron in 5 colors, jam packed with power, and not to mention it comes fully loaded with an amazing software package to go with your Windows 8 operating system.

If you’re like me – I like choice and this Today’s Special Value has exactly that. The first thing you need to consider is what screen size you would like -- with choices in the 15” and 17” sizes.  Your second decision is - do you want the newest version of Microsoft Office 2013 to go with your laptop? – I definitely recommend this upgrade. And lastly – time to choose your color.   We will be offering stylish options in red, blue, pink, purple and silver with our new brushed aluminum inside and out finish.

To complement the fancy paint job and brushed aluminum design, this computer is loaded with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8 gigs of memory for multitasking, and a HUGE 1 terabyte hard drive for all of your storage needs. What I like most about this computer is all of the NEW features we are offering.  Starting with the model – this Dell Inspiron is our 2013 version which is slimmer, faster, more energy efficient and has longer battery life than the 2012 versions. You have the newest 3rd generation Intel Processor, the brand new Windows 8 operating system, and a future proof hard drive that the entire family can enjoy.

Did I also mention the amazing support package that is included with this offer?  You will receive 24/7 Premier PC Support for the LIFE of your computer!!!!  So any questions you have – big or small – you will have a support line to assist you.  (It’s almost like having your personal computing assistant.)  Need help setting up your networking device?  They’ll help you.  Have a Windows 8 question?  No problem. In addition to the PC support, Dell also backs up your computer with a 1 year warranty and also Lifetime Antivirus Support from Trend Micro.

I am really excited about this TSV and really hope that you will join me this Sunday on the Q! The kickoff begins Sunday, May 5th, at midnight EST with Rick Domeier – let the fun begin!

Follow me on my facebook page, Nate Matatall - Dell Spokesman for QVC. Post a question, tell me why you love your Dell, or let me know that you are picking up this Today Special Value!

    See you all on Sunday!

Stylist Scott Grimes and his Mom, Madonna (love the necklace!)

One of the sweetest words in the world:  Mom, Madre, Mother, Mãe, Nana, Mère, Maji, Mutter... no matter how you spell it, the meaning is the same, LOVE.  They say, ‘God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.’  Although the role of a mother has changed throughout history, one thing has always remained consistent and that is what they give:  life, love, protection, hope, and dreams to children, both young and old.

I have always shared a very special connection with my Mom.  Growing up, I thought she could do anything, simply because she appeared to do everything.  At 40 years old and expecting my first child any day, I can only hope my child feels the same way about me that I feel about my Mom.  I truly believe the relationship with your mom is one of the most important relationships you will ever have.

Years ago, I gave my Mom a Tiffany’s diamond cross necklace.  Her expression was priceless when she saw that iconic Tiffany blue box.  At first she refused to open it and told me I was crazy for spending that kind of money on her, but once she opened it, she had that necklace on in no time.  Since the day I gave it her, she has never taken it off.  My Mom says that no matter where I am in the world, she can touch her cross and know that I am with her.  Every Mother’s Day since then, I have given her a special and unique piece of jewelry. This has become our tradition and memory maker.

This Mother’s Day is going to be extra special because it’ll be the first year my Mom receives a piece from our new JAI John Hardy Collection.  I know she’ll love the gift, a beautiful silver cuff (J279140) – and not just because I gave it to her!  I was actually picturing her unique style as I was working with the artisans to curate this particular piece for the collection.  It reflects her natural taste:  effortlessly chic with classic appeal and a touch of glamour.  The design of the cuff was inspired by the city of Sukhothai in Thailand, a region widely considered to be the birth place of classic Thai architecture.  The clean lines of the sterling silver cable echo the reflection of the ornate monuments in the ponds filled with sacred lotus flowers, a symbol of purity and strength, their sensual shape reproduced on the piece in 14K gold.  The elegant ribbon of diamonique that gently contours the cuff imitates the flow of the traditional ribbons braided in the local women’s hair.

If you want to be the first to see this beautiful cuff along with some of our other new JAI John Hardy pieces, tune in to the Lisa Robertson Show tonight at 10PM EST to join us as she shares some of her favorite new designs.  You know how much Lisa loves her cross pendants (J276526).

I want to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy Mother’s Day!

    Safe Travels,

    Scott Grimes

Hello everyone! I trust you made out well since last time we saw each other.  Gosh, what a great fashion day.  I know I picked up a few good finds such as a LOGO top, but I’m always interested in what you found.  Did you step out of the box a little or did you stay true to your fashion style?  I feel like I have to ask that question because our Fashion Must-Haves are always changing.  There is always one surprise on the list and that’s always fun to look forward to.  While you’re mulling that over, let me introduce you to this week’s Beauty Obsession: NuFACE.

Do you have five minutes?  Because that’s entirely why I chose this as one of my new anti-aging obsessions.  In a world where sometimes it can feel like everyone is taking five minutes from you and you barely have time for yourself… this is five minutes that’s worth making.  This is a multi tasking device.  What I mean by that is that you could be watching your favorite TV show and stimulating your skin to help give back what gravity took away… youthful, lifted skin.   If you want the opportunity for your skin to appear more toned… this is something worth trying.  NuFACE comes with excellent directions.  You can use this all over different areas of the face and NuFACE shows you exactly what direction to go in, the duration (5 seconds), and 3 times in each area.  The big plus for me when I used it is that I didn’t have to worry about keeping the NuFACE in one place.  Sometimes, anti-aging can be complicated; this is relatively easy and for a lot us we will be able to see immediate results.  A lot of you have heard my story about fellow host, Sharon Faetsch’s skin being firmer than mine because she has been using great tools for anti-aging.  The two nights I used the NuFace the biggest difference I noticed in my personal tone was along the jaw line.  I’ve haven’t felt like my skin was firm nor toned there for a long time and thought it might have been my genetics kicking in.  I encourage you to give this a try because if you’re getting bored with the serums or would like to do more than a serum… this might be the perfect next step for you to take it to the next level.  Let me know what you think.

     PM STYLE

This week on PM Style I was more than thrilled to see pieces from Kenneth Jay Lane in the show that are sure to get you roaring.  There’s a movie coming out very soon that’s going to take us all back to the 1920s and I know a lot of us could not be more excited.  That’s what I love about film… not only does it have the ability to grab our emotions and change us forever, but it has the ability to inspire us into trends such as the amazing period of the 1920s. Side Note: This past Fashion Day, I tried to channel a tasteful 1920’s flair with a LOGO top and polka dot pants…very fun!

What you see below are the pieces you will see throughout PM STYLE that are brand new from KJL.  To quote my friend, Barry Ort “These were pieces specifically selected to tie into this big movie.  We’re already seeing its influence on the cover of a major magazine and you can expect that art deco in fashion is going to be huge.  KJL’s art deco collections are some of the most sought after pieces.” So take it from Barry and KJL… you won’t want to miss these pieces.  Oh, and by the way… when you see the retail value on these, you’ll want to fall over.  When you see our price, QVC will have you doing the Charleston or perhaps the more “Modern” Pennsylvania 6500 (Mine and My grandfather’s favorite song {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}).

Once you’ve taken a look at the beautiful pieces from KJL be sure to hop on the bandwagon of the chic black and white trend to pop these beautiful pieces.  It’s classic with an edge.  I’m going to go for the IML Today’s Special Value in a little black dress, a brand new embellished black top from the Nina Leonard line, or a High-Lo Hem top (A Must-have) from one of the most stylish women I know, Renee Greenstein.

Don’t forget to follow me on my new Instagram account, Courtney Cason QVC.  For the month of May, Amy Stran and I will be taking the #InstagramChallenge where there will be a new theme every day.  Be sure to check our instagram accounts for what’s new and to participate in the challenge as well.  We love hearing from you!

Can’t wait to talk to you soon and I hope you have an awesome start to your week!

PS- Here’s a picture of Allie and Millie- They haven’t made a QVC appearance in awhile {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}.

  • 05/06/13--14:07: Happy Mother’s Day!
  • I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! My Mom passed away several years ago, and there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of her. I have such fond memories, and I carry them in my heart every day. A mother’s love is quite special and should be cherished always. I know my mother is flying with the angels and is still looking down to make sure I am ok. I miss you and love you.

For all of you out there…I hope it is a very special day for you and your family! Happy Mother’s Day!

    My mother and me!

    Flowers for Mom!

I actually developed my desire to be a designer from my Mother and Grandmother, both loved to dress up and loved shopping. They were truly inspirational! I sometimes think about what she would like when I am designing. One particular item she always loved was wearing dresses and this is one of my favorite catagories to develop!

I designed this dress and shrug as a great go-to piece for all occassions. I was inspired while shopping in Europe by all of the crochet and lace trims I saw

and thought it was a great feminine touch to add to this ensemble. This dress is truly versatile, and you can add a different shrug or jacket to create a totally different look. Think about a denim jacket over this dress for a casual weekend update. This look is both comfortable and easy to wear. This dress is available in petite and regular. Check out the color and size offerings.

Just in time for outdoor entertaining and relaxing, Luminara debuts its first set of indoor/outdoor flameless five-inch pillar candles. Their innovative electromagnetic technology provides a flickering, magical flame effect while eliminating safety concerns and mess. Enjoy Spring and summer breezes without your Luminara candles blowing out. If it starts to rain, no worries. We've tested these in all kinds of weather. The high quality and realistic plastic construction won’t melt in the sun either. You’ll get up to 500 hours or 100 days of glow time with two D batteries using our five-hour timer function. That’s almost Memorial Day to Labor Day!

Here are four fabulous ideas to glam up your garden and put a little panache on your porch or patio. First pick from seven summer colors - Ivory, Tuscan Orange, Red, Apple Green, Navy, Purple and Hunter. Now let’s get decorating.

    1. Outdoor Shabby Chic Chandelier - Drill holes in the corners of a salvaged window shutter. Pull desired length of rope through each hole and knot at base. Hang evenly from pergola or gazebo roof. Place several Luminara candles across the shutter and you've got a romantic outdoor chandelier. Purchase the Luminara remote control for easy on and off.
    2. Beach in Your Backyard - Take a decorative serving tray and fill with playground grade sand from your home store (it’s been thoroughly cleaned). Place Luminara candles in the sand and surround with sea shells and star fish (available at most craft stores.) Stir up some margaritas and invite me over.
    3. Garden Pots - Purchase garden pots in a diameter that will accommodate the size and scale of the pillars (5x3.5). You can paint them, distress the terra cotta or keep them as is. Use green moss (available at garden or craft stores) to fill in between the edge of the pot and the pillar. So pretty. Use the remote control mentioned above, so you don’t have to disturb your arrangement other than to change batteries every few months.
    4. Bird Bath or Fountain - Create a focal point in your backyard or garden. Fill an empty bird bath or fountain with Luminara pillars. You can creatively paint your birdbath, too. Be sure to use the right paint for the surface. Cement paint is available at craft and home stores. (Note: Pillar is weatherproof, but do not leave submerged in water.)

  • 05/07/13--06:22: Discover Time Bomb
  • Hi everyone, Lulu here!

I had so much fun being part of QVC’s Best of Britain show a few weeks ago! I’m thrilled to come back with the Time Bomb Discovery Kit in a lovely travel bag to share with you as part of Tuesday Night Beauty on May 7. For those of you who don't know it, Time Bomb is a line of explosively powerful, strategic interventions that aim to mimic the rhythms and resources of younger-looking skin. Every product is laser-focused on resolving specific problems with aging skin in a new way.

    Time Bomb 4-piece Discovery Kit

The Time Bomb Discovery Kit contains a mix of our top-selling core products, which are also some of my own personal favorites. We included these products in this kit because they are not only a great introduction to the line, but also because we know you’ll be happy with the results!

Read more about the kit below and join me this Tuesday, May 7 at 9pm ET!

    xx,

    —Lu

Time Bomb Glory Days Day Cream
I like to call Glory Days an overachiever because it’s so many things packed into one jar. Moisturizer, primer, texture corrector, luminizer…Glory Days is the day cream that does it all! Thanks to Glory Days, I haven’t worn foundation in years!

Beyond firming and leaving skin that appears amazingly dewy, it also helps create an ideal surface for makeup application.

High levels of Borage Oil plus a powerful blend of glucose and white flower oils nourish skin. Hyaluronic acid leaves skin looking velvety-smooth. Opalescent particles give skin instant radiance. Glory Days is an instant “youth reboot.”

    Flashback Night Cream, 15 ml
Did you ever get a paraffin wax treatment for your hands that left them incredibly smooth, soft, and virtually rejuvenated? Our team took the principle (and performance) of that type of treatment and thought, "How can we get this to work for our faces?" The result was Flashback Night Cream.

This powerful formula helps transforms your skin while you sleep by forming an invisible, light, rice bran waxy barrier to enhance absorption and retention of a really powerful, nourishing blend: phytolipids, essential oils, hyaluronic acid and vitamins. Put Flashback on at night and wake up to skin that looks and feels smooth, soft, and youthful-looking every day.

Troubleshooter Neck, Jaw and Chest Cream, 15 ml
In the war against aging, you can’t neglect the neck…an area that can reveal some of the most serious telltale signs of aging, like creases, crepey skin and uneven texture. The Troubleshooter is a high-tech, targeted treatment that helps improve the appearance of firmness and moisturization so skin looks smoother and helps improve skin’s texture for an even-toned, younger-looking neck area.

Hand to Hand Combat, 30 ml
Hands can be a dead giveaway when it comes to age. They can even make you look much older! Hand to Hand combats the aging process with a powerful combination of vitamin E, essential fatty acids, pea extract, and argan oil, which is highly touted for its anti-aging properties. I like to use it throughout the day, not only to keep my hands looking moist and smooth, but because it helps keep my cuticles under control…like a mini-manicure! This cream is something you always want to have “on hand!"

  • 05/07/13--07:38: Happy Anniversary
  • 25 years!!!  Here’s the story of a girl name Jayne Ann, who was living at home with her mom.  She was happy and working in retail, she really loved her job.  Here’s the story of a man named James.  He was busy creating a life of his own.  He was smart, tall, dark and very handsome, but he was all alone.  Till the one day when this lady met this fellow.  She knew that it was much more than just luck.  In 6 month they were engaged to be married.  That’s the way they became husband and wife.

(Sorry for the cheesy reference to the theme to the Brady Bunch)

I can’t believe James and I have been married for 25years!!  What a blessing.  I thank God for bringing us together, bringing our families together, and blessing us with Lauren and Chelsea.  It is not always easy.  We like every couple have had our share of up’s and down’s but we pledged before God and our family and friends that we will love each other, support each other, laugh and cry with each other.

We were married at 3:30 pm May 7th 1988

I wore my Mothers wedding dress.  A few alterations were needed, new lace and of course 80’s puffy shoulders. Our Church is one block away from where our reception was held so we took a horse drawn carriage.

Our first dance was to Anita Baker “Giving you the Best that I’ve Got”.

Lord willing, I am looking forward to the next 25 years.  I love you James Brown.

Every time I prepare for a show or Today’s Special Value, I'm reminded of how blessed, honored, and ecstatic I am to be able to share my products with QVC viewers! Over the last eight years, my team and I have a developed a system to ensure every detail is taken care of prior to any on-air appearance. Preparation is THE most important part of the process, and I feel that I've gotten stronger at perfecting it over the years. We always give it 150%!

From the minute my team and I are notified that we have an on-air appearance, we get to work! We begin requesting our models (generally 15 to 20 per show) and calling upon our fierce team of makeup artists that have mastered the Mally Beauty look! From there, we spend hours assembling our "Run of Show," carefully deciding which models will give the viewers the best and most accurate impressions of the products. I also take AT LEAST an entire day (and typically a few sleepless nights!) to review all of the notes I've made for each product and practice my presentation with my wonderful husband, Phil, and the rest of my team as my audience! Then, of course, there's a strategic packing plan of action to ensure we have everything my team and I need for a successful show. It's crazy and intense, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

We've had a few days of absolutely gorgeous weather, and the first thing I love to do is open the windows and let the fresh air in!  It's the best scent! So, if you are able to join us tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th, we invite you to our "Summer Open House". We will celebrate ALL day and show you how to get your home ready for entertaining, cooking, decorating all while putting you in a "summer state of mind"!

I love to entertain in the summer by feeding people out on the deck or on the back patio, but I always feel like I'm missing that 'helping hand' of a place to put everything. If that sounds like you, I have the perfect idea for us! It will be our TSV (Today's Special Value) tonight at midnight. It's a hardwood kitchen cart that is now expandable! It has TWO work surface areas in just one cart. Plus, it arrives fully assembled (one less thing for me to ask Mark to do), is available in several different colors to match your decor, can be easily moved (has wheels), can be locked safely into place and has two shelves on the bottom.

The extra two feet of work space makes a huge difference in what you can use it for, like taking dishes from inside to outside or from the kitchen to the dining room, or even setting up a beverage or dessert center. Or how about taking your cold food right out to the grill, since so many grills don't give much work surface area? Of course there are so many other ways to use it in your home, like folding laundry, crafts, kids' homework, making cookies, or let it be the kitchen island you've always wanted or the extra countertop space you've always needed!

The colors are beautiful in oak, walnut, mocha or cherry, so think about it ahead of time. It will be offered with easy pay, making it even more affordable! After 2-3 decades of raising 4 kids and all that is involved, if I can make my life a bit easier when it comes to summertime and entertaining, I'm all for it!

Have a spectacular week and I hope to "see" you tomorrow morning with summertime goodies. Wear your Liz Claiborne clothes, since we won't have our regularly scheduled show this week. Does that mean Linda Davies gets to sleep in? I think we should call and wake her up, don't you?

    Counting our blessings,

    Mary Beth Roe

With mother's day this coming Sunday, I wanted to pay a tribute to my mother Shirley. Although she is no longer with us, I miss her and think of her each and every day and I would not be who I am today without her love and support.

Growing up on Long Island, my mother was always involved in both mine and my brother's activities. She enrolled me in piano and ballet classes and was even my girl scout troop leader! She was the kind of person who always supported my brother Joel and me no matter what we did.

When I became a mother myself, she was always there for me and proved to be the most caring and loving grandmother I could ask for.

When I started the Susan Graver line with my mother-in-law Audrey - another extraordinary woman - and partnered with QVC, not only did she give me the utmost encouragement, she watched all of my shows and would give me her honest feedback. We spoke after every show. Although she lived in Florida at the time, she taped every single show of mine and mailed it to me in New York!

She loved to wear and brag to her friends about my designs and was ecstatic that she could wear the same pieces that I wore. In many ways it has come full circle and now my daughter, Jaclyn, loves to snatch some of my Susan Graver pieces to wear and style her own way.

My top above is A201893 and stay tuned for a gorgeous NEW version of the scarf top Jaclyn is wearing this June!

Do you have any Susan Graver pieces that you share with your mother or daughter? How are you spending your Mother's Day?

Please join me this Thursday, May 9th at 9am ET and Sunday, May 12th at 10pm ET for fashion and fun!

    xoxo,

    Susan
